About This Place

Springs Downtown Bar & Grill in the heart of Glenwood Springs offers a vibrant and unpretentious dining experience for locals and visitors alike. Nestled at 722 Grand Ave, this spot perfectly marries the casual comfort of a classic bar with the satisfying flavors of a grill serving hearty American fare. Whether you’re winding down after a day exploring the nearby hot springs or looking for a lively place to catch a game, this is a place where rustic charm meets genuine warmth.

The menu boasts an enticing variety of dishes that celebrate bold, familiar tastes with a twist. If you’re craving something iconic, the French Dip sandwiches and Fish & Chips deliver that perfect balance of tender, juicy meat or flaky fish paired with crispy, golden fries. The Angus Burger and Black & Blue Burger stand out with their rich, flavorful patty cooked just right, complemented by curly fries that add a fun and tasty crunch. For those who enjoy spicier fare, the Wet Burrito and Tacos with Potato Salad present a delightful fusion bursting with savory layers.

Appetizers like the Rocky Mountain Oysters and Fiery Inferno Wings offer adventurous bites that challenge the palate with intense flavors and textures, while comfort snacks like Mozzarella Sticks and Stuffed Jalapeños satisfy cravings for something cheesy and crunchy. The soup of the day and fresh garden salads provide lighter options to balance the hearty main dishes.

What truly sets Springs Downtown Bar & Grill apart is its atmosphere—gritty, welcoming, and unapologetically authentic. The interior might lean toward “grungy,” as some patrons affectionately describe it, but that rough-around-the-edges vibe only adds to its charm. It feels like one of those hidden gems that outsiders might overlook, yet locals return to night after night. The service is consistently friendly and attentive, with bartenders like Jade who bring a knowledgeable, personable touch that makes you feel right at home.

Music fills the room, sometimes loud enough to create an electric, lively buzz that fuels good conversation and communal spirit, particularly when college games are on the screens — a detail that adds a unique communal energy to the space. For guests looking for late-night dining, this spot remains a beacon, serving quality food well past usual hours when other places have closed or quit the kitchen.

From the perfectly crispy Chicken Wings to the robust Prime Rib Philly Cheesesteak, each dish tells a story of hearty, satisfying comfort food delivered with pride. The combination of great local beers, including classics like Pabst Blue Ribbon, rounds out the experience, making Springs Downtown Bar & Grill an ideal destination for a laid-back yet memorable meal and drink in downtown Glenwood Springs.

Feels like a place that should be on Diners Drive in's and Dives at some point. Dirty, grungy, but surprisingly good food, friendly service, and one of the better places for a late bite in Glenwood.

Great food and service. We got there after going to the springs at 945. Yet the kitchen put out amazing food. Some restaurants/bars if you get there just before the kitchen closes, you might get suspect food. This was really good. And the servers/bartenders were amazing great. Only negative was that the music was a bit loud. Great music but loud. Servers had to yell to be heard. My wife and I could barely soak with each other. But I guess it's a bar correct!

What a great experience! Very cool place! The reuben and fish sandwiches we ordered were perfect! We enjoyed the selection of local beers. They had 3 different college games on which was great. The server was king enough to change a channel so we could watch the game we wanted to see.
